Live electronic and acoustic sounds, visible haptics with an electronically expanded sound spectrum and classical roots with experimental elements. With backgrounds in contemporary music, classical music and jazz, the six members of the Detect Ensemble explore musical communication channels: the Detect Ensemble has set itself the task of creating content that combines the qualities of different art music worlds, with the courage to embrace complexity and artistic innovation through an in-depth co-creation process.
AFAR consists of a collaboration between two musicians and attempts to bridge the distance between the natural and the industrial by exploring the paradox between the organic and the electronic. In some pieces, AFAR creates dance-oriented rhythms overlaid with haunting vocal layers. In others, the band creates moments of ambience consisting of multi-instrumental soundscapes.
