The application phase for our volunteers is expected to start in April/May 2025.
volunteering
Do you have questions about volunteering at the Detect Classic Festival? Then you will find the answers here.
We have five areas of responsibility for helpers:
Guards: Help us control access to important backstage areas including our Artist Care rooms and Catering. These are 5 hour shifts.
Environmental Guardians: Ensure the festival site is always beautiful and clean. These are 4 hour shifts.
Traffic Wardens: Help our guests find their way to the car park and campsite, and park in a good order so that everyone can drive in and out easily. These are 5 hour shifts and only on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
Kitchen Crew: Assist our caterers in providing our artists and crew with delicious meals throughout the festival. These are 5 hour shifts.
Awareness: Support our awareness team in making the structures at the festival safer and more inclusive and in creating spaces where people can be sure that they will be listened to and treated in a trustworthy way.
Each volunteer takes on two shifts during the festival. In return, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price. You must buy a normal festival ticket (€140.00); you will only be refunded once you have completed both shifts. Snacks will be provided during your shift.
If possible, you should be available to work shifts between Thursday 7 August and Sunday 10 August. There will be a briefing for everyone on Thursday. If you are only able to arrive on Friday, that is also fine.
Applications to volunteer are made using a form that we expect to publish in April/May 2025.
Yes, you have to buy a regular festival ticket (€140) to volunteer at our festival. We will refund you the ticket price when you have completed your two shifts. This is how we ensure that volunteers reliably show up for their shifts.
