We’re looking forward, along with you, to the second edition of the Between Mountains festival at Holdenweid in Hölstein – this time spanning 2.5 days in September, with camping and, of course, plenty of musical highlights.

what is between mountains?

Born from the idea of bringing the concept of the Detect Classic Festival from Germany to Switzerland, we have been organising Between Mountains – a festival in Hölstein in the canton of Basel-Landschaft – in collaboration with kfka – Kollektiv für kulturelle Aufgaben since 2025.

We will be enchanted by ensembles, building castles in the air with live music and dancing into the evening like light and fog through electronic sounds. We will explore classical and ambient, electronic and contemporary, avant-garde, beats, rhythm, spatial acoustics and blur the boundaries between open-air concert, rave and philharmonic orchestra. A weekend full of curiosity, inspiration and escapism at Holdenweid in Hölstein.
