The second edition of the Between Mountains festival at Holdenweid in Hölstein – this time spanning 2.5 days in September, with camping and, of course, a few musical interludes once again – was a resounding success! We’d like to thank all those involved, visitors and artists.

what is between mountains?
Born from the idea of bringing the Detect Classic Festival concept from Germany to Switzerland, we have been organising Between Mountains – a festival in Hölstein in the canton of Basel-Landschaft – in collaboration with kfka – Kollektiv für kulturelle Aufgaben since 2025.
We let ourselves be enchanted by ensembles, build castles in the air out of live music, and dance into the evening like light and mist through electronic sounds. We explore classical and ambient music, electronic and contemporary genres, the avant-garde, beats, rhythm and spatial acoustics, blurring the boundaries between open-air concerts, raves and the philharmonic. A weekend full of curiosity, inspiration and an escape from everyday life at the Holdenweid in Hölstein.
