As universal as water's necessity on Earth is, its many forms are uniquely diverse. It springs from sources, trickles through streams, flows as creeks, falls as rain, gathers in the sea—gurgling, rushing, dripping, crashing and bursting in endless variation.
In Johannes Kroeker's sound sculpture, these different manifestations of water are collected within an acoustic vessel. With a sensitive ear and a delicate touch, he shapes the recordings through electronic production, adding depth and fluid rhythms. The result is an immersive sonic environment that invites listeners to dive into the ever-changing nature of water.
Through words and visual art, Lisa Herz gives this acoustic world a tactile dimension that invites visitors to let themselves drift. Her poetic texts flow through associative chains of thought, where one feeling gradually gives way to another. Together, they transform the Bienenhaus into a living space of experience, where memories of water merge with playful encounters in the present.
