The idea for "Eigenrauschen" arose from a fascination and respect for death. The word is used to describe what you see when you close your eyes.
The show thematises dealing with death from the perspective of the living. By gently touching on the subject matter of the two artists on a personal level, the stage becomes a place of acrobatic dance elements and sound accompaniment of song and language. Images of ritual processes and personal references are shown with selected objects.
The contact with death through the vitality that is inherent in each of us and the research into musical and dance material in relation to death forms the narrative of the performance.
With the question of how to deal with farewell and letting go, Eigenrauschen invites the audience on a journey of reflection about their own existence.
