The Turicum Quartet unites four individual voices from four different countries: Jiska Lambrecht from Belgium, Karolina Miśkowiec from Poland, Amir Liberson from Israel and Maura Rickenbach from Switzerland.
The four musicians met at the Zurich University of the Arts. Shortly after its foundation in 2021, the Turicum Quartet was honoured with a music prize from the Kiwanis Club. In 2023, it won second prize at the prestigious Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition. The performance was broadcast live worldwide by MediciTV and mentioned in the specialist magazines The Strad and on The Violin Channel.
The quartet's highlights to date include their debut at the Tonhalle Zurich, performances at the NOSPR in Katowice and their collaboration with the Gringolts Quartet at the Mizmorim Festival in Basel. In 2024, the ensemble was quartet in residence at the Ticino Musica Festival. This season, it will perform in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, Poland, Italy and Norway.
