The Swedish artist has a unique approach to life and music, characterised by calm, stillness and the interplay of Zen meditation, nature and creativity. Known for his work as one half of the music group Minilogue, Sebastian is also a successful solo artist and is constantly in the starting blocks with new material. Sebastian’s deep connection to music can be traced back to his youth: from playing the organ and violin as a child, through performances in orchestras, string quartets and pop bands, to electronic music in his late teens. The discovery of house and techno in the mid-1990s was the catalyst for a revolution in his life; he embarked on a new musical path. In the late nineties, he experimented with electronic sounds and eventually founded the cult duo Minilogue with a friend.
Mullaert’s live performances combine technical skill with energy, atmosphere and euphoria – one need only watch his “Interpretations” performance for XLR8R or his Boiler Room set to get a sense of his prowess. Recognition of his talent has led to appearances at renowned clubs and festivals such as Panorama Bar (Berlin), Labyrinth Festival (Japan), Fabric (London), Concrete (Paris), The Block (Tel Aviv) and Blackmarket (NYC).
