pokka has never confined herself to a single genre, but has now found her musical home in a house and techno sound that is minimal yet emotional, endlessly groovy and full of breakbeat surprises. Away from the dancefloor, pokka is a selector. She regularly records podcasts and radio programmes featuring cross-genre concepts.
pokka has played at festivals such as Fusion, Garbicz and Mystic Creatures, as well as in clubs such as Distillery, IfZ (Institut für Zukunft), Mensch Meier and elipamanoke, whilst remaining true to the underground scene that shaped her.
As well as her work as a DJ, pokka organises, books and promotes events. She is a co-founder of the fjeden collective and the ‘bananas are berries’ event series, a co-organiser of the Detect Classic Festival and part of the fem*vak network.
