Maria Kobylenko is a transdisciplinary artist, multimedia designer and educator. She explores questions of how we occupy and share space and how stories can be told beyond human perspective.
Through working with mycelium as a socio-artistic medium, she creates objects, leads workshops and collaborates with Technical University Berlin / Mitkunstzentrale at Pilz Kunst Labor (Fungi Art Lab).
Her practice is guided by the intelligence of fungal networks, systems that live in symbiosis, operate without waste and restore polluted environments. She explores these principles not only in a biological sense but as metaphors for rethinking society.
