Traces of feeding - analogue light installation with plano-convex lenses
Two feeding images of bark beetles and humans face each other. Almost identical in their aesthetics, but relativising in their dimensions. The viewer is drawn into this field of tension through two huge magnifying lenses, exploring and marvelling at the phenomenon of analogue magnification. The wounds of the Anthropocene become visible.
About the artist:
Tom Kretschmer is, among other things, a trained photographer, qualified graphic designer and interdisciplinary mind behind "Lieber Analog". Inspired by his studies in "Forest Management" at the HNE-Eberswalde, he interprets the interrelationships of the ecosystem and rearranges them. Shaping with light is his essential means of expression.
