The Fette Elke is a Mercedes Sprinter that has been converted into a dance floor complete with sound and lighting technology.
First and foremost, we want to make life in the countryside and small towns more attractive through music culture and fun.
The project sees its purpose particularly in supporting local actors who are committed to democracy, openness to the world and the revitalisation of rural regions in their work. The aim is to counteract the increasing "desolation" of these rural areas and, in particular, the development of the right-wing rock scene. Through this supportive effect, Fette Elke also contributes to an open and active citizenry as well as direct prevention against right-wing extremism, especially among young people.
