Alexandra Maria Seywald

The violinist Alexandra Maria Seywald plays, sings, writes, composes and performs as a soloist and chamber musician. She firmly believes in the power of hope – now more than ever. In her concerts, she breaks down the boundaries between genres, re-contextualises classical music and thereby gives it contemporary social relevance.

As a soloist, Alexandra Maria has already performed with orchestras such as the Camerata Salzburg, the Chursächsische Philharmonie and the Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra. Although she successfully took part in numerous national and international competitions at a young age, she distanced herself from the competitive mindset some time ago in order to find her own voice.

Alongside her concert activities across Europe, Alexandra Maria is the first violinist of the Radauer Ensemble, which has made it its mission to combine classical and folk music. In 2024, she founded ALMA DENO together with three friends, a string quartet that experiments with various concert formats, using music as an ambassador of humanity.

Since 2017, Seywald has been a happy member of the Kunsthilfe Salzburg family of artists. She loves the mountains, people, laughter, silence, longing and Pippi Longstocking.
