Pascal Schmidt

Pascal Schmidt (they/them) is a dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist from Hamburg. After training at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts, Pascal danced with the Bundesjugendballett and the Hamburg Ballett, among others. As the founder of the collective House of Brownies, Pascal develops performative formats at the intersection of dance, activism, and queer BIPoC perspectives. These works have been presented at venues such as Kampnagel, as well as in collaboration with various cultural institutions in Hamburg. Since 2025, Pascal has also directed Klub.1 at the Thalia Theater Hamburg—the theater’s first BIPoC-only youth club. In this role, Pascal creates artistic spaces for young BIPoC perspectives and supports young people in developing their own forms of performative expression.
