Muru Mura is a interdisciplinary creative duo rooted in the realms of sound art and performance. As siblings, their artistic journey is an extension of their lifelong passion for play and exploration. They merge their individual disciplines, intertwining them with diverse art forms to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary art.
Muru Mura was founded in 2020 during the pandemic, driven by the desire to create art that transcends boundaries and occupies public spaces. Their works include Caprices, a participatory physical and visual theatre project for a single spectator, which has been presented at various festivals in Germany, such as the Sommerwerft in Frankfurt and the Bucht der Träumer; Habitat 3000, an interactive virtual reality experience presented at CHB Berlin; and New Reality, an immersive physical theatre performance that was shown in the off-programme of Documenta 15 in Kassel, among others.
