Frida Zack

Frida Zack (non-binary/she) was born into a German working-class family and is a queer performance artist based in Berlin. Central themes in her work are the deconstruction and emancipation from (cis-hetero-)normative inscriptions and conditioning, which she explores primarily through the body and attempts to overwrite. A defining aspect of this is the treatment of one’s own body as both material and archive of specific experiences of discrimination and memories.

The aim of her artistic practice is to create spaces of experience in which people can have new, corrective and healing experiences in relation to how they engage with their own bodies.
