Eqtibasat ("quotes" in Arabic) is a visual/musical project by Hekmat Alkassar, that started as a way to cope with psychotic episodes. The music varies from electronic music to solo piano, or singer/songwriter.
The first album Quotes was released in 2019, followed by the funded Music album and illustration book 91 portraits in 2020. One of his deeply personal albums was Dear Psychosis in 2023, where Alkassar speaks about the journey of healing from psychotic episodes.
