Atelier der Erfahrung understands theatre as a dialogue between stage and audience.
In our productions Held*innenwerkstatt – von der Figur ins Abenteuer (Heroes’ Workshop – from character to adventure) and Das Farbenmonster – Auf der Suche nach dem Gefühlskompass (The Colour Monster – In Search of the Emotional Compass), we have developed formats in which children are not merely spectators but actively shape what happens on stage. We want young audiences to experience theatre as a space where they can contribute their own ideas and perspectives and have a genuine impact. By bringing together suggestions from the audience, every performance becomes different and unique – just like our audience.
We are a collective of artists based primarily in Berlin, with a wide range of professional backgrounds. Questions, sensory experiences and aesthetic exploration form the starting points of our artistic work. We are united by the idea of making theatre a space for mutual inspiration, where audience and performers meet as equals.
