history

Since 2015, the junge norddeutsche philharmonie (jnp) has organized a festival format which would later become the Detect Classic Festival. In the first few years, the festival took place in Berlin - most recently in 2017 at Funkhaus Europa.

Since 2019, the Detect Classic Festival has been a joint project of the jnp and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and moved back to northern Germany - to the countryside. From the RWN site in Neubrandenburg (2019), it finally moved to Schloss Bröllin in Fahrenwalde via Trollenhagen Airport (2021) due to the pandemic. The festival's creators have found a festival home here since 2022.

Since 2023, Detect has been a cooperation project between Detect Sounds gUG and Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern gGmbH. The festival remains closely linked to jnp.
